The typical human will do more evil than good prior to their point of salvation and if the evil they did is 'erased' from history how can a change to positive anti-sin behavior be acknowledged and proper credit given to the deity they eventually trusted in?
Mr. Kydd had some sort of consentual relationship with an adult student, which might make him similar to Roland Hendrikson of Wittenberg. Behavior that is contrary to workplace rules can cause you to lose your job but might not lead to incarceration and certainly does not prohibit you from repenting and choosing behavior that will improve your past reputation.
Who really wants Bathsheba's behavior erased from history? How many people actually believe Bathsheba never existed or never had a child with King David? Bathsheba might not have reported against her own adulterous behavior, but Uriah's response to her suspicion's would not seem as heroic if his wife's actions were erased from history.
Who would really want the allegations of Potipher's wife against Joseph, the brother of Benjamin, to be erased from the bible? Joseph's reputation as a good, fair and somewhat harsh leader eventually countered the serious allegations that Potipher's wife made against him that resulted in actual prison time.
People who have no real trust in an eventual just 'elohim'' being willing to defend them often do worry too much about what negative information or incorrect information others have inherited or 'searched out' in media sources. Who really wants to live in a world where only YOUR opinion about yourself is allowed to be seen or heard? Some people have nothing but good reports about their early years but in their later years of life they ruin their own formerly good reputation. Do you really want to believe how decent Whitney Houston might have been as a young 'Christian' church child and not want to know what or who influenced her to totally reject, as an adult, the instructions for people who want to be aligned with the tribe of Judah's representative wrongly called 'Jesus'?
If police reports were done away with because the claim was not proved or was proved to be FALSE, how could you discern which complainants are actually habitual liars? Does Michael Vick want all the horrible reports about him erased or is it better than even Michael Vick's children hear the truthful history about their father and learn to admire the positive changes he made after breaking existing laws?
It is not easy countering false allegations, but it possible. If you are an atheist that does not believe that liars and false accusers will either be, in the best case scenario, rebuked and corrected by a representative of Truth or in the unrepentant liar's worst case scenario, punished by a system of angelic forces that is eventually seen rather than unseen, your biggest problem is being an atheist not being falsely accused. There most likely will be eventual proof that your never trusted anyone other than yourself to counter any false reports that may have been made intentionally or UNINTENTIONALLY about you or people that are part of your household. There are times when incorrect information is ejected from a source unintentionally, and for such occasion there is a process at Yom Kippur that can alleviate the burden of your intentional release of information you did not know was incorrect. I am unaware of process other than the day of Atonement process that can alleviate serious concerns and that should eventually lead to an accurate assessment of your deeds on earth and the consequences of your decisions.
My son was lied to by a self-proclaimed 'Christian' who told my son that I had a boyfriend in North Carolina and had bought a house with him. If my son never bothered to verify the information, he ended up believing a lie due to his own lack of investigative actions and it is extremely sad when strangers believe lies about you but much sadder when your family members believe lies about you.
I choose to remember a real sardonyx foundation and the tribe of Joseph when I am disouraged about the years that have gone by with few or no family members nearby to comfort nor defend me and that helps me choose to do good works rather than evil works to myself and others, but for many years I did not remember Joseph and as a result I behaved like an unholy 'gentile' with no fear of HVHY's rod of correction.
