In an attempt to be generous and giving to strangers, a bag of good, decent clothes is more worthwhile than a signed picture of 'Ryan Miller', yet neither of those items are nominal value and should be reeived with thanks. Certainly donating clothes to my grandchildren has not used my grandchildren to become more polite or rsponsive toward me, so I looked to donate to other 'Christian' people to once again test the spirit of 'Jesus Christ' as their worshipful master.
When passing through Rhinelander, Wisconsin wearing a 'Ryan Longwell' jersey, I stopped at Calvary Baptist Church on a Sunday morning to donate a bag of very good ladies clothing items. The male 'usher' at the door looked appalled at my attire, yet I asked if they had a clothing donation box and initially he said 'yes'. Then, a woman came up behind the usher and with a snarl said ' We don't accept clothes, only food.'
