At Wisconsin's "West Bend Lakes" golf course, it is far less uppity and the Wisconsin roadways are in better condition than in Michigan. Ohio still has the best roadways that I've traveled on recently, but Wisconsin roads outside of Milwaukee are in rather good condition when compared to Michigan roads many of which are unpaved, slick mud flats when wet. Hole 17 on the white tee course is listed at 167 yards, there is no mixing of courses and the white course comes in at 6194 yards total. Hole 18 on the yellow course is a 'Marion Gaborik 408' for those who prefer numerical trivia over 'knowing nothing.'
167 is a good goal for me, whether it is weight or hole 17 at Western Lakes golf course which isn't far from one of the most beautiful covered bridges I've ever thoughtfully walked through. Like AJ Storr, I'll try to get to '167', but not at "Cherry Creek". When I reach 167, I'll write an article about what it took to reach that goal.
