Strongs H7854 defines LSaTaN as an adversary and as an angel of יהוה. This is indisputable if you believe the contents of the Torah scrolls. Why do so many people hate any being that opposes their temporary wickedness, their besetting sinfulness , perverseness and inappropriate behaviors? Not all roles of a SaTaN are wicked, though Psalm 109 specifically adds the adjective of wicked to an adversary/accuser.

LaSaTaN sounds much more appropriate than vague hashem because there is Scriptural precedence to use the term LaSaTaN as a delegate/representative of יהוה.
