In what instance should 'sorry' NEVER be acceptable?

When a computerized recording or 'AI' assistant claims to be 'sorry' for being unable to comprehend what you are saying or what your needs are, that computerized audible and the pathetic, weak machine it is emrgenqng from is never actually able to be 'sorry' nor truly able to repent.

'Noah' from Verizon assisted me today, not Michael Gartner from Ottawa;  I eventually referred him to 'The Dick Van Dyke Show' where character 'Rob'  is told to do many mechanical maneuvers to stop the intentional clicking sound on his telephone intended to provoke him to frustration.  In 2025, about 60 years after Rose Marie tossed in her laughter with Richard Deacon nearby,  I only had  about 30 minutes to  first get past the lying electronic voice,  ask to speak to a human being, actually speak to real human being 'Noah', then press plenty of buttons, unplug and replug an electronic wires, remove the rear plastic plate, use a 📎 ( trombone ) to reset a tiny, hidden button and THEN I finally received a dial tone again on my Verizon #^( number again.
